Katrina DeAngelis is an Employee Engagement and Organizational Culture expert. She is a big believer in the idea that a business’s success is dependent on the culture that it cultivates. Katrina describes her work as a process of “discovery and development”. This experience enhances team engagement, collaboration, productive communication, and trust. Just ask one of the numerous businesses Katrina has helped from Vancouver to Germany to achieve their true potential and recognize their true self.

This work has led to the creation of The 7 Chakras of Business – the culmination of Katrina’s lifelong work. This program is inspired by the chakras that exist within the human body and Katrina’s recognition of the collaborations between a person and a business. “Just as there is an energy system and a consciousness within humans, businesses have them too” says Katrina. 7 Chakras of Business aims to awaken the consciousness of your business. Katrina hopes that through this program she can help shift how we think about business – a change focused on creating “Ripples of Impact” on a global scale.

In this episode Natalie and Katrina discuss:

  • The concept of business as a living system instead of a static object
  • Awakening the life of the company
  • Creating a culture in the business
  • The important values to consider in building a business
  • Overcoming your self-doubts

Key Takeaways:

  • A business is a living system, people are the driving force behind it, and how we see it is how we see ourselves. And it is only when we start to treat it as a living, breathing entity that we can develop healthier teams and relationships, and bring life to our organization.
  • Everyone in the company is responsible for awakening the company’s life. It’s all about showing up. It all comes down to showing up. And leaders at the top of an organization can create structures and processes that allow people to discover themselves or to lead effectively and consciously within the organization.
  • Creating a culture within your business starts with self-awareness – defining what culture actually means to you and what you’d like to see, as well as thinking about the core issues that need attention.
  • Businesses and owners should focus on defining the how, how it looks for them and their team, and what actually works. A clear understanding of your values is the key to success.
  • The journey to our goals is always filled with self-doubt, but it’s discovering our whys that leads us there.
  • All of us want to feel confident, but what we really want is radical confidence, the confidence that comes from feeling self-doubt, fear, and whatever else you’re feeling, but still doing it anyway. Practice radical confidence and you’ll be able to achieve it faster.

“What inspires me is the possibility of or the opportunities that are possible. If we do start to shift the way that we operate a business, the more consciously we can lead, the more conscious cultures can be. I think that this just creates such an opportunity for the world and for organizations himself to be a place of healing.” – Katrina DeAngelis
